Below are supportive scriptures of this event spoken of by Daniel.
REFERENCE SCRIPTURES:
27 - And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
In Daniel 9:24, God determined upon his people 70 weeks. However, up until this point only 69 have been utilized. You got it! The 70th week is the one left that Daniel is speaking of after the Messiah is cut off (Zech 13:7-9). Notice he says, “in the midst of that week.” This is clearly interpreted as “in the middle of that week.” Please keep in mind that a day is equated to a year (Num. 14:43; Ezek. 4:6). Having said that, one week then is 7 years. Daniel is saying that in the middle of those 7 years (3 ˝), the worst catastrophes the world has ever seen will begin to take place. Not only that but he says, “even until the consummation.” In other words, this abomination will continue until the end of that 3 ˝ year period of time. This is The Final Hour of The Beast and The Antichrist – and the unraveling of the worst deception this world has ever known.
7 - And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
11 - And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
As much as there was a false sense of religious freedom to serve whatever god you deemed necessary, at this point is will be over! No more sacrifices to your gods or God.
15 - When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 - Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 - Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 - Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 - And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 - But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 - For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 - And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
2 - But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
6 - And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
14 - And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
This is a representation of God’s protection for his people during these treacherous times. Again, we see how long it will last.
The Abomination of Desolation: The 2nd half of the last week. “The Great Tribulation Period”
And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
GLORY!!!!!!!
