“The Real Man”
Are you feeling depressed about your reflections of the past? I don’t understand the intricacies of your relationship but I do want to offer you this bit of hope.
First, understand that you are not a failure. You are a Winner who just did not succeed. Take a look at the many things you have succeeded at in this life and you will notice that you can hardly count them. Life is funny in what it gives us however each of us is obligated and responsible for our own decision.
Hey, it’s a very difficult thing when you’ve been hurt so much until your hurt hurts and it appears that no one really understands. Yet you are able to share your love and encouragement with others who have been hurt seemingly much less than you. Essentially God has allowed this to help someone else but to perfect you.
When you’ve sat alone in the quiet stillness of your basement so many times asking God – Why Me? – Why my family? – Why us? Dear one, know that God has not forgotten you. Even when you’ve wet your pillow with tears, little did you know that He was catching each one in a bottle. Every tear, full of hurt, full of pain, full of fear, even the tears of rejection – He caught them not allowing one to escape.
You see dear one, when man doesn’t understand, the “The Real Man” does. He was there (in the room) when you were born. Quite frankly, He made sure that your Mom and Dad’s path would cross to produce you. Therefore, He was anticipating your arrival. He was there when you were a little girl growing up. He was there the first time your heart was broken … tried to warn you but you wouldn’t listen. He was there when you first laid eyes on your husband to be. Strangely, He also knew the outcome. Never the less, because of our free wills He would not intervene. And just to think…had He, your wonderful son (who has encouraged you so many times) would not have been here. Even in your son, it’s quite evident that He’s still looking out for you. Guess He just wanted to use me to let you know that He still loves you and thinks about you every minute and every second of the day.
Psalms 139:14-18
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
