PRINCIPLES ABOUT TRANSFERENCES OF SPIRITS
1.) When a person is in any kind of spiritual authority over a person or group of people, whatever spirit is on him/her may easily transfer to them.
Ex. Jim Jones - cult leader that persuaded an entire congregation to move to Guiana and commit suicide. Other examples are David Karesh and the Waco incident and the transference that parents pass on to their children. Ever heard the phrase, you're just like your daddy!?"
2.) When one person is tied to another, spirits can more readily transfer between the two persons.
Ex. Unhealthy and Ungodly bonding (Soul Ties) gives demons an legal avenue to "ride" or transfer to the other person. Another example is a Sexual Relationship outside of the confounds of marriage.
Antidote: "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8)."

So, How Do We Become Open To Receiving Transference?
First Principle you need for freedom from a transference to you:
You must be cleaned from the inside out! (Ps 51)
Submit it to God and He will place a NOT Welcome mat at your door
Second Principle is you must learn to forgive. Do it two ways:
"I forgive you" and Please forgive me."
Not - I'm sorry or I apologize. Use the word "forgive" like Jesus taught in the Lord's Prayer and exercised from Calvary's Cross.
Third Principle you need to grow to spiritual maturity:
- Don't be like the old western picture of tumbleweed tossed all over the place.
